Membership Details

 

Smart Growth is the only organization whose members are exclusively businesses and organizations involved in real estate development and construction and whose geographic focus is the greater Madison area.  Smart Growth has three categories of membership.

 

A)   Principal Members are companies that currently are developing or redeveloping real estate or have done so in the past and own, directly or through affiliated organizations, a substantial portfolio of buildings or land.

 

B)    Community Partner Members are organizations that play a prominent role in the greater Madison area economy in addition to having employees who have direct or indirect roles in real estate development or construction but do not qualify as Principal Members.

 

C)    Associate Members are any other organizations which have employees who have direct or indirect roles in real estate development or construction.

 

When a business or organization is a member of Smart Growth, all owners and employees of that company may participate in Smart Growth events and receive the Executive Director's weekly reports on municipal regulatory activity.  Membership dues are for a calendar year of membership.
